Have you ever attended a conference at AREA 42? Located in the heart of Brussels, just steps away from the Botanical Garden, AREA 42 is a unique B2B event venue housed in the prestigious former RTT building, designed by architect Michel Polak.
With its highly flexible layout, multiple ambiences, and strikingly original atmosphere, AREA 42 leaves no visitor indifferent.
Founded in 2009 by investor, artist, and patron Edouard Poullain, AREA 42 was born from his vision to transform a vast, empty space into a one-of-a-kind venue dedicated to business events. A passionate advocate of art and design, Poullain collaborated with a team of contemporary artists to shape an inspiring environment, where monumental volumes, vibrant colors, and noble materials coexist with striking site-specific works - from an 18-ton sculptural steel staircase to robotic neon installations and custom-designed recording tables in alveolar altuglass.
Regular art exhibitions ensure that companies hosting events here can enjoy an atmosphere that is as artistic as it is professional.

Dispersion
A 100 m² acrylic mural by artists Floriane Mandin and Mathieu Merry (Collective 7e gauche).
About the artwork
Designed by Floriane Mandin, Dispersion draws inspiration from the architecture of the Vals thermal baths in Switzerland, partially embedded into the earth. This unique site, where raw concrete, still water, and shafts of light create a mysterious and contemplative atmosphere, resonates with the industrial character and perspective of AREA 42.
Within this setting, bright goldfish emerge in unexpected places: bursting from beams of light, floating above water, frenetically swimming toward the viewer. Their scattered movement amplifies the surreal nature of the scene, bringing energy, rhythm, and an elusive, living presence to the space.
