What a fantastic experience! Everything went incredibly smoothly. From the moment we arrived to our departure, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. The fact that the entire hotel was occupied by our group created a lively and convivial atmosphere.
The location is beautiful and exudes tranquility, while the building itself has charm and character.
The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is definitely OK. Everything was taken care of.

Wat een fantastische ervaring! Alles is supergoed verlopen. Vanaf het moment van aankomst tot het vertrek werden we hartelijk ontvangen door het vriendelijke en behulpzame personeel. Het feit dat het volledige hotel door onze groep bezet was, zorgde voor een levendige en gezellige sfeer.
De locatie is prachtig en straalt rust uit, terwijl het gebouw zelf charme en karakter heeft.
De kamers zijn comfortabel, het ontbijt zeker OK. Alles was verzorgd.

We have been collaborating with HEC Liège and Kloster Heibdberg for many years, primarily as part of the Open Borders MBA program. Each year, we organize around ten seminar weekends there, during which we stay on site, take advantage of the meeting rooms, and enjoy coffee breaks. Everything always goes perfectly: the welcome is warm, the staff helpful and attentive, and the quality of service impeccable. It's a real pleasure to work with them!

A fantastic cycling weekend at Hotel Heidberg (monastery)!

With our cycling club Velodammen we had a fantastic weekend on 9-10-11 May 2025 at Hotel Heidberg (monastery) in Eupen.

We felt welcome from the very first moment. The hotel is housed in a beautiful old monastery, centrally located in the heart of Eupen. The Drielandenpunt (Three-Country Point) is a perfect base for cycling enthusiasts who enjoy challenging rides with some elevation gain and cozy terraces afterward.

The buffet and breakfast were excellent and gave us the energy we needed to start or end the day well. There was secure bicycle storage, which was a real relief for us.

A great added value was the cozy basement space we were allowed to use for our club activities. It was ideal for chatting about rides, organizing a quiz, or simply relaxing in a private setting.

Highly recommended for any cycling club or athletic group! Everything was perfectly organized – we'll definitely be back!

Met onze fietsclub Velodammen hebben we een fantastisch weekend beleefd op 9-10-11 mei 2025 in Hotel Heidberg (klooster) in Eupen.

Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons welkom. Het hotel is gevestigd in een prachtig oud klooster, centraal gelegen in hartje Eupen. Het Drielandenpunt, een perfecte uitvalsbasis voor fietsliefhebbers die houden van uitdagende ritten met wat hoogtemeters én gezellige terrasjes achteraf.

Het buffet en het ontbijt waren uitstekend en gaven ons de nodige energie om de dag goed te starten of af te sluiten. Er was een beveiligde fietsenstalling, wat voor ons een echte geruststelling was.

Een grote meerwaarde was de gezellige kelderruimte die we mochten gebruiken voor onze clubactiviteiten. Ideaal om samen na te praten over de ritten, een quiz te organiseren of gewoon te ontspannen in een privésetting.

Een absolute aanrader voor elke fietsclub of sportieve groep! Alles was perfect geregeld – we komen zeker terug!

Excellent conference center

Since 2020, we've been organizing a three-day refresher course here for instructors from various countries. We've always been very satisfied with all aspects of this conference center: the rooms, meeting rooms, IT and equipment, the catering, and the service/staff. The location next to the train station is also a huge advantage. Ample free parking is available for guests and participants.

Sinds 2020 organiseren we hier een driedaagse nascholing voor lesgevers uit verschillende landen. We zijn altijd heel tevreden geweest over alle aspecten van dit congrescentrum: de kamers, vergaderzalen, IT en apparatuur, de catering en de service/personeel. Ook de ligging naast het treinstation is een enorm voordeel. Grote gratis parking voor de gasten en deelnemers.

Great ambience, great service, highly recommended

We had planned an internal conference with the company. From the reservation to the implementation, everything went perfectly. Contact was always quick and questions and requests were handled and implemented professionally. The feedback from participants on the process, food and organization was consistently positive. We will definitely return to Heidberg Monastery in the future.

Wir hatten eine interne Tagung mit der Firma geplant. Von der Reservierung bis hin zur Durchführung ist alles perfekt gelaufen. Der Kontakt war immer schnell und Fragen und Wünsche wurden professionell bearbeitet und durchgeführt. Das Feedback der Teilnehmer zum Ablauf, Essen und Organisatation war durchweg positiv. A very nice welcome: great staff and magnificent places

We organized a Conference bringing together a little over a hundred people. The magnificent locations were appreciated by the participants. The acoustics were very good and the stage was perfect for the presentations. Everything was ready when we arrived and the technology was easy to use. A small downside for the catering aspect which was not varied enough to the taste of the participants. I personally appreciated the contact with the team on site who were very attentive to our expectations, very flexible and patient. I recommend. Excellent value for money.

Nous avons organisé une Conférence rassemblant un peu plus d'une centaine de personnes. Les lieux magnifiques ont été appréciés des participants. L'acoustique était très bonne et l'estrade venait à point pour les présentations. Tout était prêt à notre arrivée et la technique facile à prendre en mains. Un petit bémol pour l'aspect catering qui n'a pas été suffisamment varié au goût des participants. J'ai personnellement apprécié le contact avec l'équipe sur place qui a été très à l'écoute de nos attentes, très flexible et patiente. Je recommande. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.

A unique location where everything has been thought of

The former monastery has been beautifully renovated into a unique seminar centre and hotel. They have really thought of everything to make it a very pleasant stay. The sisters would be jealous. ;-) The service is excellent and everything is also very accessible for those who are less mobile.

Het voormalige klooster is prachtig verbouwd tot een uniek seminariecentrum en hotel. Er is werkelijk aan alles gedacht om er een heel aangenaam verblijf van te maken. De zusters zouden jaloers zijn. ;-) De service is uitstekend en alles is ook heel toegankelijk voor wie minder goed te been is.

Perfect location

Last weekend we rented the entire accommodation with a group of 40 people. Kloster Heidberg is located near the station and there is also good parking. The building has a nice large meeting room. Also a cozy bar, breakfast room, meeting rooms. It has been beautifully renovated and converted. Excellent kitchen, delicious food. Staff very helpful, professional and friendly. The hotel rooms are clean and fresh. From Eupen you are in Aachen or Maastricht in no time. It is located in a beautiful nature reserve (high fens) Highly recommended!

Afgelopen weekend met een groep van 40 mensen de hele accomodatie afgehuurd. Kloster Heidberg ligt vlakbij het station en er is ook een goede parkeergelegenheid. Het gebouw heeft een fijne grote ontmoetingsruimte. Ook een gezellige bar, ontbijtzaal, vergaderruimtes. Het is prachtig gerenoveerd en omgebouwd. Prima keuken, lekker gegeten. Personeel zeer behulpzaam, professioneel en vriendelijk. De hotelkamers zijn schoon en fris. Vanuit Eupen ben je zo in Aken of Maastricht. Het ligt in een prachtig natuurgebied( hoge venen) Een aanrader!

Wir hatten gerade eine große Reunion dort.
Die Atmosphäre in diesem alten Kloster ist wirklich besonders. Es vereint historischen Charme und modernen Komfort.
Die Veranstaltungsräume sind gut ausgestattet und vermitteln eine gemütliche, inspirierende Atmosphäre. Egal, ob man arbeitet, feiert oder sich entspannen möchte,  es ist eine tolle Balance aus Ruhe, Natur in der Nähe mit einem wunderschönem  Moorgebiet.
Das Kloster ist auch mit dem Zug gut erreichbar .

Perfect place for team retreat

We hosted a successful team retreat here over two days (around 15 persons). The space is perfect to work and reflect, the rooms were very comfortable and the food was delicious. The space and the team at Kloster Heidberg really set us up well for two productive and enjoyable days. I can only recommend Kloster Heidberg.

Heidberg Monastery

The Heidberg Monastery is a centrally located event hotel that offers space, networking, food and accommodation for quiet work. I have already enjoyed this offer twice and can highly recommend both the accommodation and the food. The staff are very friendly and always approachable. If you need to maintain contacts locally, the location is ideal, as all important business destinations are within walking distance. If you want to travel by train, you can use the stop almost outside the door. Destinations outside Eupen (towards Aachen or inland) can be reached very quickly by car.

Das Kloster Heidberg ist ein zentral gelegenes Eventhotel, welches für die ruhige Arbeit Platz, Vernetzung, Verpflegung und Übernachtung bietet. Ich habe das Angebot bereits zwei mal genießen dürfen und kann sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die Verköstigung sehr empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr freundlich und stets ansprechbar. Müssen Kontakte vor Ort gepflegt werden, dann bietet sich die Lage sehr an, denn alle wichtigen wirtschaftlichen Ziele lassen sich fußläufig erreichen. Möchte man mit der Bahn anreisen, so kann man die Haltestelle fast vor der Tür nutzen. Ziele außerhalb Eupens (Richtung Aachen oder im Landesinneren) sind mit dem Pkw sehr schnell zu erreichen.

We have planned a meeting with lunch here with a group of 100 people. This was a first collaboration with Kloster Heidberg but certainly not the last;
All staff members are very friendly, the follow-up of the file went very smoothly, the commercial team is very reactive. Next time we will definitely book with a stay!

Wij hebben hier met een groep van 100 personen een meeting gepland met een lunch. Dit was een eerste samenwerking met Kloster Heidberg maar zeker niet de laatste;
Alle personeelsleden zijn erg vriendelijk, de opvolging van het dossier verliep erg vlot, het commerciële team is erg reactief. Volgende keer boeken we zeker ook met verblijf!

A quality, warm and helpful welcome

We really enjoyed our stay at Kloster Heidberg. For technical questions there was help every time, microphones were troubleshooted quickly and even for adapters to go from laptops to the big screen the staff was extremely knowledgeable. In our question/instruction for the room arrangement we were not clear enough and early in the morning the staff did everything they could to accommodate our request which was really great. The only downside might be the room acoustics, but there are microphones for that. Not every speaker likes to use a microphone, but that's how it is.

Pour les questions techniques, il y avait de l'aide à chaque fois, les microphones ont été dépannés rapidement et même pour les adaptateurs pour passer des ordinateurs portables au grand écran, le personnel était extrêmement compétent. Dans notre question/instruction pour l'aménagement de la salle, nous n'étions pas assez clairs et tôt dans la matinée, le personnel a fait tout ce qu'il pouvait pour répondre à notre demande, ce qui était vraiment génial. Le seul inconvénient pourrait être l'acoustique de la salle, mais il y a des microphones pour cela. Tous les orateurs n'aiment pas utiliser un micro, mais c'est ainsi.

A very impressive location: the size, the ambience, the location, the architecture captivate you from the start. The large hall was simply perfect for our event with almost 150 (seated) visitors.
Preparation of the adjoining rooms: technology, coffee & tea, lunch: everything prepared optimally and in good time. But what I liked best was the staff themselves: multilingual, always with solutions at hand, experienced in dealing with all guests, and exuding calmness.
Considering the quality of the service, the price is fair.

Vorbereitung der Nebenräume: Technik, Kaffee & Tee, Lunch: Alles optimal und rechtzeitig vorbereitet. Am besten aber gefiel mir das Personal selbst: Mehrsprachig, immer mit Lösungen zur Hand, versiert im Umgang mit allen Gästen, dabei Ruhe ausstrahlend.
Gemessen an der Qualität der Dienstleistung ist der Preis fair.

2 workshops in a great atmosphere and with excellent service

I organized 2 workshops for my employer, for which both the premises and the catering were organized in the best possible way - including all change requests, some of which were short-term! All participants were particularly impressed by the special flair of the meeting room "under the roof" and only praised the service, friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.
The numerous free parking spaces and the pleasant environment were also appreciated, as was the technology, the support during the workshops and the response to spontaneous wishes and needs. Also the multilingualism of the staff has inspired.
The cuisine and service were impeccable and meals were enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.
Beforehand, I was given a long tour with detailed explanations, which I really enjoyed. Again: Thank you very much!
All in all, I can warmly recommend Kloster Heidberg to anyone looking for a special location, first-class service and professional, warm-hearted contacts!

Für meinen Arbeitgeber habe ich 2 Workshops organisiert, für die sowohl die Räumlichkeiten als auch die Bewirtung aufs Beste organisiert wurden - inklusive aller teils auch kurzfristigen Änderungswünsche! Alle Teilnehmer waren insbesondere vom besonderen Flair des Besprechungsraums "unter dem Dach" angetan und äußerten ausschließlich Lob zu Service, Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des Personals.
Auch die zahlreichen kostenlosen Parkplätze und die angenehme Umgebung wurden gewürdigt ebenso wie die Technik, die Unterstützung während der Workshops und das Eingehen auf spontane Wünsche und Bedürfnisse. Auch die Mehrsprachigkeit des Personals hat begeistert.
Küche und Service waren makellos, und die Mahlzeiten wurden in entspannter Atmosphäre genossen.
Vorab wurde mir ein großer Rundgang mit ausführlichen Erläuterungen zuteil, den ich wirklich sehr genossen habe. Auch hier: Herzlichen Dank dafür!
Insgesamt kann ich das Kloster Heidberg jedem aufs Wärmste empfehlen, der eine besondere Location, erstklassigen Service und professionelle, herzliche Ansprechpartner sucht!

International Sales Meeting at Kloster Heidberg

A few weeks ago, AstenJohnson organized its Europe & Middle East + Latin America sales conference at Kloster Heidberg in Eupen. The perfect place for two days of training, networking and recognition.
No less than 12 countries were represented at this event, with 50 participants. (Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, United States of America, France, Finland, Sweden, Korea and Netherlands).
We had reserved the large chapel, and everything was planned to receive our collaborators in the best possible setting. During and after the meeting, we only received positive feedback from the participants.

Exceptional location for events

Arriving at the historic site is already an experience. From the parking lot, the path goes down towards the monastery. Coming around the curve, the view opens onto a chapel, which also forms the entrance to the seminar center. The friendly lady at reception shows you the way and the service staff is attentive and tries to respond to all requests. The rooms are attractive and modern in design. Our group had the opportunity to explore the courtyard and the chapel that has been transformed into an event space. We were also able to eat there, which was a special experience. Our participants were enthusiastic.

The proximity to the Eupen train station is an advantage - only a few meters separate and the Heidberg monastery can be reached on foot. It is also only a few meters to the city center, so that you can easily discover the historic center of Eupen.

We enjoy working with the seminar center because a stay is always something special for our guests.

deAußergewöhnliche Location für Veranstaltungen
Bereits die Ankunft an der geschichtsträchtigen Stätte ist ein Erlebnis. Vom Parkplatz aus geht der Weg hinunter Richtung Kloster. Kommt man um die Kurve, öffnet sich der Blick auf eine Kapelle, die auch den Eingang zum Seminarzentrum bildet. Die freundliche Dame am Empfang zeigt den Weg und das Servicepersonal ist aufmerksam und bemüht, auf alle Wünsche einzugehen. Die Räume sind ansprechend und modern gestaltet. Unsere Gruppe hatte die Gelegenheit, den Innenhof zu entdecken und die Kapelle, die zum Veranstaltungsraum umgestaltet wurde. Wir konnten dort auch essen, was ein besonderes Erlebnis war. Unsere Teilnehmer waren begeistert.

Die Nähe zum Bahnhof Eupen ist ein Vorteil - nur wenige Meter trennen und das Kloster Heidberg ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Zur Innenstadt sind es ebenfalls nur wenige Meter, so dass man das historische Zentrum Eupens leicht entdecken kann. 

Wir arbeiten sehr gerne mit dem Seminarzentrum, denn für unsere Gäste ist ein Aufenthalt immer etwas Besonderes.

We booked the Heidberg monastery for my son's wedding!
1st staff TOP. For every problem there was a solution
2. Large private free parking lot for our guests
3. The possibility to sleep there in one of the 34 rooms if you travel from further away or have been drinking is simply a PLUS!
4. The rooms are spacious and we were able to determine the decoration ourselves.
All in all, the wedding couple could celebrate without hesitation and without any stress

I organized three-day refresher courses here for my employer. In fact, this congress center offers excellent quality in all areas: meeting room, catering, rooms, cleanliness, technical installation. The architecture of the monastery has been well preserved, but everything is modern and new. Very practical location (spacious free parking and 1 minute walk from the train station). Friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness of the staff is top notch!

Voor mijn werkgever heb ik hier 3 keer een driedaagse nascholing georganiseerd. In feite biedt dit congrescentrum op alle vlakken uitstekende kwaliteit: vergaderzaal, catering, kamers, netheid, technische installatie. De architectuur van het klooster heeft men goed bewaard, maar alles is modern en nieuw. Zeer praktische ligging (ruime gratis parking en op 1 minuut te voet van het treinstation). Vriendelijkheid, professionalisme en behulpzaamheid van het personeel is top!
